A social action plan to solve poverty in Hartlepool

The Hartlepool Action Lab is part of the Big Lottery and Department for Culture, Media and Sport ‘Place Based Social Action‘ programme (PBSA for short). The programme is supporting us to plan for the future of the Action Lab by creating our own ‘Social Action Plan’.

We started on the journey towards a working plan in July at an event where 30 people living and working in the town came together to begin to build a picture of social action in Hartlepool and to shape a vision for the future. Click here to see what they said.

We would very much welcome your support, involvement and thinking over the coming months to help shape the plan, which will form our ‘application’ to the next phase of the PBSA programme.

Here is how you can get involved

Put your social action on the map

We heard of 100 instances of social action at our first. We know there are lots of others out there.

Tell us to put your or others’ social action on the map, using the contact details below.

Become a Social Action Ambassador

We want to give as many people as possible the opportunity to have a say on social action; and on what Hartlepool could achieve by working together.
